The Great Basin Institute, in cooperation with the BLM Monticello, UT Field Office (MFO), is recruiting a Recreation Technician to help with the inventory, collection and documentation of signs, OHV intrusions, and dispersed campground locations on Cedar Mesa and other locations within the field office boundary including Wilderness Study Areas. Specifically, the Technician will collect data for linear WSA intrusions, such as woodcutting routes. A priority outcome for BLM recreation staff includes greater understanding of dispersed camp site usage and trends on Cedar Mesa, as well as the associated resource impacts resulting from such visitor activity.
