The Great Basin Institute, in cooperation with the National Forest Foundation and Tahoe National Forest, is recruiting a Survey Technicians to support surveys of project sites on the forest. The Survey Technician will coordinate with and serve under the direction of a licensed USFS Land Surveyor to demarcate project sites and boundaries within the ownership mosaic on the Forest. The goal of this positions is to delineate project sites and areas of potential impact. This work will involve the following types of activities. Operate instruments and equipment to locate land and property corners and boundary lines.  Verify corners and boundaries by inspection, testimony of landowners, and comparison with references, or by survey using original and resurvey recorded data.
