Your mission as a Greenspace Community Champion will be to nurture and empower community groups, particularly in Bury and Bolton; to improve green and blue spaces as well as bringing people together. You will share skills, knowledge and advice to support community groups to overcome barriers and secure investment to allow them to lead a ripple effect of people taking action for nature recovery and wellbeing.

Responsibilities

  • Scope, develop and facilitate work with community groups on greenspaces which focuses on nature recovery and wellbeing. This will involve having presence in priority areas, overseeing community liaisons, maintaining strong links and enabling community leaders to share learning and experiences which promote self-supporting, peer-led networks.
