The selected candidate will assist US Fish and Wildlife Service Biologist survey groundwater and identify taxa that are collected in these samples. The selected candidate will learn how to identify invertebrates, fish, and amphibians that may appear in the groundwater samples. Work will be split between field sampling and specimen sorting and identification in the lab. Field sampling will involved deploying various traps and returning a few days later to retrieve the traps. Specimen identification will require the use of a directing scope.
