The Junior Ecologist position is responsible for conducting vegetation and/or wildlife surveys in support of environmental planning, environmental monitoring, and resource management or assessment projects. The Junior Ecologist is responsible for knowledge of habitat assessment techniques, the use of taxonomic keys, the ability to assess functional habitat conditions, and ability to design ecological field sampling plans. The Junior Ecologist needs to be familiar with handheld GPS unit use for field data collection and wetland delineations, and field data sheet preparation and use. The Staff Ecologist position has all the responsibilities of the Junior Ecologist position as well as knowledge of the National Environmental Policy Act, Endangered Species Act, Sections 404/401 of the Clean Wat
