This position is a partnership between Canaan Valley Institute and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS), West Virginia Field Office (WVFO), Partners for Fish & Wildlife Program (Partners Program). The position will assist with the development and implementation of conservation and habitat restoration projects on private lands throughout West Virginia to enhance and protect habitat for federal trust species and other associated wildlife. This position is ecologically focused and will support projects as part of a small, fast paced, and dynamic team. Restoration work may include habitat enhancement, stream bank stabilization, invasive eradication, water quality improvements, in stream habitat improvement and riparian / pollinator planting.
