This position serves as the Endangered and Threatened Species and Species of Special Concern (ETSC) Biologist within MDIFW’s Bureau of Resource Management that will provide policy and planning guidance to the Bureau's effort to conserve and recover ETSC species. This position will provide policy and planning guidance to formulate regulatory proposals, develop grant and research proposals, set budgets, and provide technical assistance on biological and statistical inquiries. The position will administer contracts, approve final reports, make presentations to various groups, interact with the media, and report to the Commissioner's Advisory Council.  This position will help coordinate and plan ETSC species’ recovery efforts with MDIFW staff, other state and federal agencies, and private
