Inland Fisheries Ireland is the state agency responsible for the protection, management and conservation of Ireland's inland fisheries and sea angling resources. The Senior Research Officer, Quantitative Fisheries, will be a member of IFI’s management team. He/she will be responsible for leading scientific research that will contribute to the formulation and implementation of appropriate policies, strategies and initiatives for the Inland Fisheries Ireland Board with a specific focus on fish sampling and stock assessment, statistics and modelling, publication of scientific and management papers, and data management.
