This is a chance to be part of an exciting project called The Douglas Challenge.  Our partnership has a vision for “All water bodies of the Douglas catchment to be clean and healthy, supporting abundant wildlife, valued by people and enabling sustainable economic growth.” The key responsibilities of the role will be:
  • Safeguard and enhance sites supporting Wetland, Lakes and Ponds, Rivers and Woodland BAP habitats within the project area.
  • Raise awareness of INNS, including identification and control methods/techniques of INNS.
  • Undertake essential mapping work, using GIS, of the distribution of INNS in the river catchment.
  • Ensure compliance with legal obligations including, biodiversity and health and safety regulations.
