The incumbent will support the Programme Manager, Ecosystem based Adaptation (EbA), and the EbA Team based in Washington DC in tasks related to the implementation of several global-scale climate change adaptation and sustainable development projects. He or she will provide assistance in reviewing technical documents, communications, and donor deliverables; and in ensuring the timely coordination of activities and reports among IUCN and partner offices. In addition, the incumbent will support the Global Ecosystem Management Programme’s engagement in partnerships on EbA, ecosystem-based disaster risk reduction (Eco-DRR) and mangrove conservation, particularly through the Friends of EbA, PEDRR, and with the SDG14 Community of Ocean Action for Mangroves, and the Global Mangrove Alliance.
