Post background The Joint Nature Conservation Committee (JNCC) is the statutory adviser to Government on UK and international nature conservation. One of JNCC’s key roles is the provision of biodiversity related evidence. JNCC has been at the forefront of improving our understanding of how the marine environment functions for over 25 years.  Our marine ecosystem monitoring and assessment advice work underpins the UK government’s need to understand the effectiveness of marine nature conservation policies and the role of human activities on changes to marine species and habitats.
