Project Background GIZ has been supporting India on its energy front since 1995. The Indo German Energy Program (IGEN) has committed itself to take forward this energy agenda focusing on the PAT scheme primarily which has led to huge savings in terms of CO2 emission reduction and coal. A new project is “Energy Efficiency in the Industry” is being commissioned by BMZ Germany.
