The Kaitiaki, Kanorau Koiora | Ranger, Biodiversity role is a diverse and rewarding role where you will be part of a tight knit team delivering on biodiversity programmes throughout the Wakatipu region. You're work will stretch across some of New Zealand's most popular backcountry tracks such the Routeburn, ReesDart and Greenstone and Caples. You will be team leading in some areas of the work program,  coordinating contractors and other groups to deliver on a variety of conservation projects from trapping, tracking tunnels, species management and protecting taonga species. You will also be involved in administrative work involving fauna/flora reporting, budgeting and commitment register tasks which will require you to be tech savvy.
