The Jobs: The Area Wardens will be responsible for the day to day management of a range of important conservation sites. Duties will include planning and delivering practical habitat management works.  Leading and managing conservation volunteers, honorary wardens and supervising contractors and conservation grazing, ensuring the highest health and safety standards at all times. The Swale Area Warden’s core responsibility is to manage and maintain the Trust’s internationally important North Kent Marshes nature reserves, including South Swale, Oare Marshes and Oare Meadow, near Faversham.   Along with several reserves on the North Kent Downs including Ospringe Down, Spuckles and Kennelling Woods; a mixture of ancient chalk grassland and woodlands.
