FIELD TECHNICIANS (3 positions) dedicated to avian conservation sought for research on the ecology and behavior of breeding king rails at beautiful Waccamaw NWR and surrounding wetlands in coastal South Carolina Candidates will report to a graduate student team leader. Assistants will perform VHF radiotelemetry to locate birds via triangulation from dikes surrounding impounded wetlands. Additional duties include conducting callback surveys to locate breeding rails, nest finding and monitoring, deploying trail cameras, and catching, banding and tagging adult king rails.
