Our Land Management Staff is seeking Summer Interns to fill several nine week Restoration Ecology positions. The summer internship is a nine-week program committed to restoring wildlife habitat, preserving high-quality prairies, maintaining trails for public access and planting and harvesting seeds among other things. Interns can expect to use a variety of restoration techniques to remove invasive plants including hand pulling, dead heading and mowing. Interns will work alongside fulltime staff and volunteers in a team atmosphere. Lake Forest Open Lands makes it a priority to ensure a safe and friendly experience for those visiting our preserves.
