This position is responsible for delivering freshwater species assessments for The IUCN Red List of Threatened SpeciesTM. The position is also responsible for supporting the use and application of IUCNs’ freshwater species data by external and internal constituencies. It also has a coordinating role to guide the different parts of IUCN, and especially Regional, Programmatic and International Policy teams, to deliver the biodiversity components of the Water Programme Area of IUCN’s Nature 2030 Programme. The role interacts also closely with experts in the Species Survival Commission as well as many IUCN Members.
