Long-Term Volunteers form an essential part of the island team, and have the opportunity to get involved with a whole variety of tasks and activities. No one day is the same.
  • Wildlife Monitoring – surveys are carried out of our breeding birds (Spring), seabirds (June), and seals (August onwards).
  • Public Engagement – help us to welcome visitors onto the island, and answer queries regarding its awesome wildlife and fascinating history.
  • Maintenance Skills – living on an island means the Skomer team are the builders, plumbers, and carpenters!
  • Personal Project – have the opportunity to complete a personal project, on a species/group of your choice,
