We are looking for a maintenance and facilities manager during our field season from March 15 to November 15, 2022 (start and end dates may be flexible). This staff member will serve as part of an on- and off-site team. The ideal candidate would have an interest in wild salmon conservation and have worked at a remote camp (for example, forestry, research, or fishing). We are off-grid, so experience with energy systems (e.g. generators, solar, and batteries) is essential. Other responsibilities include maintenance of buildings and safety equipment (including construction, basic wiring, and basic plumbing), maintenance of boats and outboard engines, and routine tasks (cutting/chopping firewood, clearing brush, helping in the garden, managing garbage, compost, and recycling).
