Managing invasive vertebrate species is an essential part of New Zealand's biosecurity system, and Manaaki Whenua-Landcare Research is the primary provider of research related to post-border biosecurity. The Wildlife Ecology and Management team carries out research on managing invasive mammals, wildlife diseases, and on the conservation management and outcomes for indigenous wildlife populations. With recent increases in funding and pending retirements, the team is seeking an experienced scientist who can lead research and make a significant contribution to invasive vertebrate species management.
