Your Impact:

As a Marine/Aquatic Ecologist, you will be part of the environmental planning and permitting team to conduct Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), environmental monitoring, and other environmental assessments. You will serve as a module lead for aquatic ecology. You are also expected to support different Jacobs’ business lines to provide advice on environmental aspects for feasibility studies and strategic consulting services specific to marine or aquatic ecology and water resources. As a Marine/Aquatic Ecologist, you will be working under the direction of the Environmental Planning and Permitting Lead and Environmental Services Country Lead with additional reporting to the Regional Technical Director.

You are a highly competent professional able to work with a team of diverse scientists and engineers. You have expertise in marine sciences, aquatic ecology, and water resources and have experience in conducting EIAs.

 

Here’s What You’ll Need:

You should have the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree or a higher qualification in marine science, biology, zoology, environmental science, or chemistry.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in aquatic ecology assessments, EIA, environmental management, environmental monitoring, and relevant studies.
  • Certification from DENR-EMB as an EIA preparer or equivalent is desired but not mandatory; and
  • Willing to be assigned for extended periods on field.
