The ICCT seeks a highly motivated and committed full-time Marine Associate Researcher in our Beijing office to analyze and recommend policies to avoid, reduce, and eliminate greenhouse gases, air pollution, and water pollution from ships and ports. Immediate tasks will include assessing the emissions reduction potential of policies that can improve the efficiency of China’s coastal and river vessels. The researcher will also analyze the potential air pollution and health benefits of ship emission control areas in China and throughout the region. The researcher will recommend ways to design and implement policies so they effectively reduce the environmental, climate, and human health impacts of maritime shipping in China and internationally.
