The ICCT seeks a highly motivated and committed full-time Marine Associate Researcher in our São Paulo office to analyze and recommend policies to avoid, reduce, and eliminate greenhouse gases, air pollution, and water pollution from ships and ports. Immediate tasks will include helping assess the climate, air quality, and economic benefits to Brazil from policies that accelerate the regional and global transition to zero emission vessels. The researcher will also analyze the potential air pollution and health benefits of ship emission control areas in South America. The researcher will recommend ways to design and implement policies that reduce the environmental, climate, and human health impacts of maritime shipping in Brazil, South America, and internationally.
