Summary This position is that of Policy Analyst on the staff of the Marine Mammal Commission. Pursuant to section 202 of the Marine Mammal Protection Act, The Commission reviews all Federal activities that may affect the conservation and protection of marine mammals and when appropriate, makes recommendations to the President; Congress; the Secretaries of State, Commerce, and the Interior; and other appropriate Federal officials as to measures it deems necessary or desirable to further the purposes of the Act. The selectee serves as a Policy Analyst within the International and Policy Program of the Commission and is responsible for organizing and carrying out reviews of domestic and international policy bearing on the conservation of marine mammals, for helping to develop Commission p
