The Department of Marine Resources is seeking a Marine Scientist IV for a managerial position headquartered in West Boothbay Harbor that is responsible for directing and coordinating the activities of the Nearshore Marine Resources Program in the Bureau of Public Health. Chief responsibilities of this position are to oversee the Nearshore Marine Resources Program which includes assessment and management of bivalve shellfish, seaweed, marine worms and other molluscan species. As director of the program this position coordinates the sampling activities of the group and directs research programs to obtain scientific information needed for management decisions.
