The tasks of the Scientific Officer include: - Support to the Executive Secretary in delivering against the objectives of the MedPAN Strategy - Update of the scientific strategy for the period 2019-2023 and beyond, - Scientific and technical supervision and overseeing progress of all MedPAN activities ( e.g. steering committees, Scientific support for projects proposals and evaluation, specific working groups, scientific watch, sharing-experience workshops…)  and products (capacity building events and tools, small projects, internal and external communication, thematic projects…) and in particular the Mediterranean MPA Forum, Roadmap and Status Report every 4 years conducted together with the SPA/RAC, - Supervision of the MedPAN MPA data manager who is in charge of the Med
