Overview

Sea Turtle Conservancy (STC) has an immediate job opening for Membership Coordinator. This full time, salaried position is based at STC’s headquarters in Gainesville, Florida. The Membership Coordinator is responsible for donor communication, record-keeping, funding appeals and
special fundraising campaigns for the organization. The Membership Coordinator will also occasionally assist with educational outreach and event
planning.

Sea Turtle Conservancy is an international nonprofit conservation organization that was founded in 1959. For nearly 60 years, STC has been a
global leader in the study and protection of sea turtles and their habitats. The organization is supported, in part, by its loyal and generous private members and donors.

The ideal candidate will be an effective oral and written communicator, with a positive outlook and enthusiasm for promoting the cause of sea turtle
conservation. The position also requires strong organizational skills and a good working knowledge of Windows-based word processing, spreadsheet
and data management programs. Special training will be provided in the use of STC’s membership management program, Donor Pro, and its integration with STC’s website. This position is available to U.S. citizens only.

A degree in public relations, marketing, business, event planning or similar field is preferred. Due to the nature of STC’s mission, top candidates also will have an appreciation for wildlife and the protection of natural resources. Experience in membership relations and database management would be a major plus.

STC would like to fill the position as soon as possible. Starting salary will be commensurate with experience. STC also offers a highly competitive
benefits package, including fully paid medical and dental insurance, paid vacation, holidays and a generous retirement program.
