Job Description You will be responsible for providing day-to-day botanical/ecological support to a range of projects within an environmental team, working closely with other disciplines to ensure ecological objectives for projects are delivered successfully, within budget and to programme. Candidate Specification Essential: •BSc in botany, biology or ecology (minimum of 2.1 classification) •Understanding of main UK, EU and international legislation and policy on biodiversity and nature conservation •Good knowledge of UK habitats and flora along with botanical survey/monitoring methods •At least three years’ experience in undertaking botanical and habitat surveys in the UK (Phase 1 habitat survey, National Vegetation Classification, hedgerow assessments etc.) •Experience
