On our internship program, interns will receive in-depth practical training in marine research techniques to study mega-fauna including whales, dolphins and turtles. Interns will work closely with the principle investigators of the project during research activities in the field and will learn skills including small boat skippering around wildlife, taking photo-ID pictures, collecting behavioral data, making acoustic recordings, shore based tracking of animals and attendance at whale and dolphin strandings.  Additionally, interns will join our community outreach programme on visits to local schools to increase marine awareness and education.  Many of our previous interns have gone on to further study are careers in working with marine mammals.
