Natural England’s general purpose is “to ensure that the natural environment is conserved, enhanced and managed for the benefit of present and future generations, thereby contributing to sustainable development”. This is expressed within our Conservation Strategy (C21), and at a local level within Focus Area plans and a number of flagship projects which describe our priority work areas. The Norfolk and Suffolk Team has a staff compliment of around 100 and the main office is situated in Norwich. The team works closely with neighbouring teams of West Anglia and East Midlands.
