Position Description: The SCA intern will have the opportunity to learn from and work with McConnell Air Force Base fish and wildlife biologist to implement the base’s integrated natural resources management plan. During the course of this internship, the intern will gain experience in various sampling methodologies across taxonomic groups, gain direct experience with land management implementation and planning, and develop an understanding of the various laws that serve as the basis for much of the natural resources work on base. Prior knowledge and experience in species identification, species sampling techniques, and general field work is helpful but not required since they will be taught.
