The development planning system is a key delivery mechanism for achieving sustainable natural resource management and the 7 wellbeing goals in Wales by ensuring the right development occurs in the right place. Natural Resources Wales has roles at all levels, ranging from our work with Welsh Government to help develop and implement planning legislation, advising on strategies and local development plans, through to our role as statutory consultee for development proposals.
