Job Purpose: Natural Resources Wales has responsibilities for a number of issues within the 13,680ha Dee estuary, including navigation, the cockle fishery, land management and nature conservation The primary purpose of this role is to manage the Dee Estuary Cockle Fishery by liaising with the Dee Estuary Cocklers and Government Agencies that have a role in management of the Cockle beds, develop policies in relation to the Cockle Fishery, oversee and assist with scientific work in relation to the Estuary, and liaise with other bodies in relation to shellfish management.
