The position leads the implementation, coordination and monitoring of threatened species projects in the National Parks and Wildlife Service North Coast Branch. The Branch extends from south of Port Macquarie to the Queensland border and is home to some of the best beaches in Australia, spectacular walking tracks, significant wetlands, and diverse rainforests, including the World Heritage Gondwana rainforests. These extraordinary areas are rich in endemic and range-restricted flora and fauna, including ancient and primitive lineages. Work closely with experts and practitioners both inside and outside NPWS to deliver and report on outcomes for threatened species conservation.
