JOB PURPOSE This position requires a strong level of ecological field experience, with particular knowledge of the flora of New South Wales. You are required to plane and undertake field surveys and write reports with a reasonable degree of independence. The role requires input into the preparation of proposals. MAIN DUTIES The duties of the Ecologist include: • Complete site inspections and ecological assessment reports and provide professional advice • Liaise with project teams which may include in-house technical staff (e.g. heritage officers) or external sub consultants (e.g. acoustic, contaminated sites) • Understand development assessment documents prepared under Queensland/NSW and Federal legislation and use this knowledge to independently contribute biodiversity
