The Bat Conservation Trust is seeking to recruit an Engagement Officer to assist with our Nightwatch project, a new, three-year citizen science project that aims to encourage people to connect with nature. Nightwatch volunteers will place credit-card sized ‘AudioMoth’ acoustic sensors in an outside space such as a window, balcony, garden or local greenspace to gather sound recordings of nocturnal wildlife. Recordings will be processed by a cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence tool to allow computerised identification of bat calls from the recordings.
