Description: As a Fish Biologist, you will perform the following duties: Promote the conservation of marine resources including fisheries, protected species, and habitat, through implementation of the Endangered Species Act (ESA), the Magnuson-Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Act (MSA), the Marine Mammal Protection Act (MMPA), the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and other applicable law. Analyze effects of actions on marine species to ensure compliance with appropriate statutes (ESA, MSA, MMPA, NEPA). Utilize ESA, fish and/or marine mammal biology, and aquatic habitat requirements when working with federal, state and/or local agencies.
