As a Biologist, you will perform the following duties: Serve as the Alaska Fisheries Science Center's (AFSC) Planning Officer, in order to lead development and implementation of strategic planning initiatives to align AFSC science priorities. Represent AFSC in external events and activities, including with the Alaska Regional Office, with National Marine Fisheries Science (NMFS) Headquarters Offices, with academic institutions, with the State of Alaska, and national and international bodies as assigned. Participate in the development of internal budget allocations, and impact scenarios and statements in response to House, Senate and President's proposed appropriations bills and assist AFSC in analyzing and developing budgets, program plans and other cross-divisional scientific respons
