The North Gulf Oceanic Society (https://www.whalesalaska.org/) has an opportunity for a research associate to conduct research on the population genetics of cetaceans in Alaska. We seek a research associate with an advanced degree to work on a fixed term contract analyzing RADseq and GT-seq data. The primary focus will be analyzing a SNP dataset to characterize the population genetic structure and seascape genomics of harbor porpoise in Alaska. The candidate will be responsible for quantitative data analyses, results presentation, report writing and contributing to manuscripts.
