North Wales Wildlife Trust’s (NWWT) Our River Wellbeing: Nature based solutions in the Dee Catchment Project is a catchment-based invasive non-native species management and wellbeing scheme funded by the Welsh Governments Sustainable Management Scheme as part of their Rural Communities – Rural Development Programme 2014-2020. The project is focused on developing a structured programme of training and volunteering opportunities to help those facing social and economic difficulties; reducing the impacts of invasive non-native species through active management and surveying; and raising awareness about biosecurity and invasive non-native species throughout the catchment and Wales.   Through these activities we aim to enable people participating in the project to gain a range of
