Oceana seeks a Policy Intern to work closely with Oceana’s government relations team in support of our advocacy work. The intern will assist with Oceana campaigns to prevent expanded offshore oil drilling, promote responsible fishery management, protect sharks and marine mammals, prevent illegal fishing and seafood fraud, and defend bedrock environmental laws. The intern will have opportunities to attend congressional hearings, briefings, meetings, and other events and network with other environmental advocates. This is a paid internship. Qualifications: The ideal candidate will possess: Bachelor’s degree Political knowledge or experience, at local, state or federal level Excellent research, writing, and phone/email communication skills Great computer skills and experience
