The Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society (CPAWS) is seeking to contract a full time GIS analyst with a background in marine conservation and/or marine resource management to support our conservation and communications work. The role will report to the National Director, Ocean Program and will work closely with our national ocean team and staff across the country. The mission of CPAWS Ocean Program is to protect at least 30% of Canada’s ocean by 2030 in effective, well-managed marine protected areas (MPAs), through a framework of reconciliation with Indigenous Peoples. Key Responsibilities
  • Identify data needs and sources, acquire data.
  • Process and manage spatial and non-spatial data sets and maintain data library in ArcGIS online.
