Description of duties: The FWC’s NE Region is seeking a motivated candidate to fill the position of RCW Biologist on three Wildlife Management Areas (WMAs) in Osceola County, FL. This is a full time, OPS, year-round position working on red-cockaded woodpecker population monitoring on the Three Lakes, Herky Huffman/Bull Creek and Triple N Ranch WMAs located in central Florida. This position is responsible for all RCW monitoring activities on three WMAs including but not limited to monitoring of activity and recording activity status of cavities, maintaining natural and artificial cavities, identifying nest trees, nest monitoring, climbing trees using Swedish sectional ladders, capturing and banding adults and nestlings, conducting fledge checks, and identifying birds by r
