THIS IS AN OPS+ POSITION.  IT IS NOT CAREER SERVICE. Position is responsible for monitoring Florida bonneted bats at Babcock-Webb WMA in Punta Gorda. Responsibilities include: maintaining automatic PIT tag readers and assisting with bat capture activities, conducting emergence counts and monitoring and maintenance of bat houses, conducting cavity searches to identify and monitor natural roosts, helping to summarize and analyze data, conducting acoustic surveys and analyzing results. Position is responsible for entering data, managing large electronic data sets, and providing periodic data summaries.
