GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS • Participates in the daily cleaning, feeding, and husbandry of the animals under their care in accordance with standards set by the Curator. • Is skilled in observation and familiar with both species specific and individual appropriate behavior. • Reports unusual conditions or illnesses in the animals to the team and the curator and assists in their evaluation and treatment in accordance with curator and veterinarian recommendations • Participates in the receiving, intake assessment, and treatment of wild rehabilitation birds as training allows and as needed. • Participates in delivering educational presentations to the public. • Utilizes operant conditioning techniques to maintain behaviors of animals under our care. •
