Rockaway Initiative for Sustainability and Equity (RISE) is seeking an enthusiastic educator to facilitate our Living Classroom Program; a STEM program for K-8 classes providing students with hands-on experiential learning. The program offers schoolteachers the opportunity to work with RISE educators who have experience in a variety of science related fields, to foster an appreciation for the natural environment and enable students to explore challenging social and environmental issues. The Environmental Educator will lead virtual classes with school groups 1-2 days/week following the Living Classroom curricula focused on climate change, renewable energy, marine science, and STEM related fields.
