JOB SUMMARY This is an entry-level part-time position in Animal Operations, following established protocols to provide outstanding animal care for Houston Toads: food preparation, feeding, exhibit maintenance, pest control, and reproductive management. It will be solely focused on the care of the Dallas Zoo’s Houston Toad colony and associated facilities to achieve USFW Houston Toad Recovery Program goals. This position is grant funded for 2023 and 2024, with expectations to work a minimum of 24 hours per week (960 hours per year).
