Migratory Bird Joint Ventures are cooperative, regional partnerships that work to conserve habitat for the benefit of North America’s birds, other wildlife, and people. Joint Ventures are each governed by a Management Board comprised of volunteer representatives from public agencies, environmental organizations, business groups, and landowners. The San Francisco Bay Joint Venture (SFBJV) is one of twenty-two habitat-based Migratory Bird Joint Ventures (JV) that cover nearly all of the U.S. and Canada and much of Mexico. The SFBJV coordinates strategic habitat conservation throughout the nine San Francisco (SF) Bay Area counties in accordance with the SFBJV Implementation Plan.
