We are working on an ever more diverse range of projects and are keen to use this as the foundation for developing our service across a broader range of sectors and locations.

About You

We are excited by the number of opportunities we are presented with and we seek an experienced consultant to realise these opportunities.  You will establish a new team to provide ecological support to our existing clients whilst pursuing new opportunities in Scotland.    You will undertake technical work whilst managing and coordinating workloads for existing and future requirements.  You will co-ordinate fieldwork support, write bids and cost projects

This is a great time to join our successful team in Scotland.  We have experienced impressive growth in both Edinburgh and Glasgow over the last 5 years and we see this continuing.  We see several opportunities in our local market and we are excited by what lies ahead.  Ultimately this opportunity will be shaped by you.

You will have a vision for what the role could become.  Degree qualified (Ecology, Conservation, Earth Sciences or related) you will be a full member of CIEEM, and ideally Chartered.  You will have proven experience in ecology / working in the consultancy sector within the Scottish market.

You will have:

Demonstrable skills and experience of assessments, including, PEAs, EARs, EcIA and HRA.

In depth understanding of relevant UK & EU legislation, planning policies and licensing requirements. Good knowledge of environmental planning issues outside of the ecology discipline.

Proven experience of project and financial management with the proven track record to effectively manage resources.

Proven track record in work winning and business development

Expert witness and public inquiry experience is desirable.
