Te Papa Atawhai (DOC) is responsible for a complex suite of regulations that manage interactions with and impacts on conservation whenua and taonga on behalf of the Crown. Like all other regulatory agencies, the Government has certain standards and best practice stewardship requirements that Te Papa Atawhai is expected to follow. Our Strategic Support Unit has been tasked with delivering a regulatory strategy in the 2021/22 financial year that meets the organisation's vision and needs.
